Privacy Policy

Last updated October 11, 2026

This policy explains what information Upland Knights collects, how it is used, and the choices you have. Upland Knights is operated by Upland Knights LLC. We keep this short and plain on purpose.

(1) What we collect
• Your player name and the email address you enter when you sign up or save a guest game.
• Your password, which is stored only as a one-way hash. We cannot read it and we never email it.
• Game activity, such as your knights, loadouts, battles, guild membership and messages you send in the game.
• Your IP address and basic browser information, used for anti-abuse checks and rate limits.
• Guest sessions, which let you try the game before creating an account.

(2) How we use it
We use this information to run the game, confirm new accounts, handle password resets and account notices, prevent abuse and cheating, and award referral rewards. We do not use it for anything else.

(3) Email
Email from Upland Knights is transactional only: account confirmation, password reset or email change messages, and game notices you have asked for. We send no marketing or bulk mail. We do not buy, rent or scrape email lists. An address is used only if the player entered it themselves.

(4) Sharing
We do not sell or rent your personal data. We share it only with service providers needed to run the game, such as our email delivery provider (Mailgun) and our web hosting provider, and only as needed for them to do that work. We may also disclose information if the law requires it or to protect the game and its players.

(5) Cookies
We use session cookies only, and only what is needed to keep you logged in. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

(6) Retention and deletion
We keep your account information for as long as your account is open. You can ask us to delete your account and personal information at any time through the contact page. Guest sessions are cleaned up automatically after a period of inactivity.

(7) Security
Passwords are hashed, the site is served over HTTPS, and access to our servers is restricted. No system is perfectly secure, so please choose a strong password and do not share it.

(8) Children
Upland Knights is for players of all ages. We do not knowingly collect unneeded personal information from children under 13. Players are encouraged to use a pseudonym and not to share personal details. If you are a parent or guardian and have a concern about your child's information, please contact us and we will review it and delete it where appropriate.

(9) Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last changed. Continuing to play after a change means you accept the updated policy.
